RALPH PLAXCO Services for Ralph Plaxco, 94, of Kilgore will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, in Kilgore, with Rev. Alton Patton and Rev. Bill Connolly officiating. Mr. Plaxco died Wednesday April 16, 2008, at home. He was born in Emory, Texas September 3, 1913 to the late John and Minnie Plaxco. As a member of the United States Navy he served his country during World War II. In the early 1950s he moved to Kilgore where he worked well into his 70s as a successful self-employed tradesman. One of his favorite past-times was gardening and sharing the fruits of his labors with family, friends, and neighbors. His wife Harvine, of Kilgore, Texas, survives Mr. Plaxco. In addition he is survived by his children Reta Wood of Naperville, Illinois; Neil Plaxco and wife Ruby of Cleveland, Texas; Les Plaxco and wife Debi of Longview, Texas; and Dennis Plaxco and wife Dee of Kilgore, Texas. His surviving grandchildren are Andrea, Bryan, Cody, Robbie, Joey, and Mallory, and great-grandchildren Laura, Jacob, Emma and Gunnar. Brothers Lem Plaxco of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Earl Plaxco of Spiro, Oklahoma also survive Mr. Plaxco.
