Great line-up for this year's Kilgore Spring Film Festival

Fans gathered at 4 Star Cinema last night for the opening of the Kilgore Spring Film Festival.
The wine and cheese reception had a host of movie fans from Kilgore and beyond for this six film series, starting with the film, Savages.
The Festival is offering a wide array of features this year, including the first animated film to be included in the series, Persepolis. Other highlights include this year's Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Language Film, The Counterfeiters, Julian Schnabel's acclaimed The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, and In Bruges, which was the opening night film at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
Showtimes for the three week festival are 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on weeknights. Saturday and Sunday show times are 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The cost is $6 per ticket, $5 per ticket for seniors & college students with ID.
Kathy Housby (formerly with Kilgore College's public radio station, KTPB) offered a brief introduction to the festival immediately before the film.
