SAMMY LEE BATEMAN

Graveside services for Mr. Sammy Lee Bateman, 49, of Kilgore will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 10 A.M. at Mason Cemetery in Arp, Texas with Reverend Joe Adams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Kilgore Friday from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Bateman passed away Wednesday April 9, 2008 Kilgore. Sammy was born June 10, 1958 in Overton son of the late Virgil Hope and Rena Bateman. He worked as a truck driver for many years in the Kilgore area. Sammy will be remembered as a friend to all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Connie Sens of Lindale; three grandchildren; brothers, J.L. Shelton of Greenville, Harold Bateman of Winnsboro and Thomas Bateman of Mabank; sister, Louise Wilson of Brownsboro; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
