KHS girls end losing streak, beat Jacksonville

      The streak is over, and this time, that's a good thing. The Kilgore High School softball team beat Jacksonville at Jacksonville on Friday night, 5-4, finally getting their first District 12-4A win. The Lady Bulldogs were likely afraid they were going to finish the season without another win.

      Don't write the Kilgore High School baseball team out of the playoffs just yet. After a couple of games where things didn't go their way, the Diamond 'Dogs got a few good bounces, made their own good luck and left Jacksonville with a 10-9 victory on Friday night.

      ARLINGTON (AP) - This time, the Toronto Blue Jays got a little help from their hitters. Lyle Overbay hit a three-run double, Vernon Wells drove in two runs and the Blue Jays ended a three-game losing streak with an 8-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on Friday night.
