KC Wind Symphony brass to perform

KC Wind Symphony Brasses to perform at Longview Symphony concert April 19

The Kilgore College Wind Symphony Brasses will perform the opening fanfare for the Longview Symphony concert, April 19, at the Belcher Performance Center on the Le- Tourneau University campus in Longview.

The KC Brasses will perform "La Perie Fanfare" by the 19th century French composer, Paul Dukas. Concert time is 8 p.m., with the pre-concert fanfare performance scheduled for 7:45 pm.

The band is currently looking for members for next school year. The band offers performance scholarships that pay for books for up to 12 hours of classes. Qualification for scholarships is based on musical auditions and interviews.
