THE DAUGHTERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS, John Tilley Edwards Chapter will meet Wednesday April 16, at 11 a.m. to dedicate a memorial marker for Roberta Wren at Lakeview Memorila Gardens, 500 W. CIVIC GARDEN CLUB will meet Wednesday, April 16, 9:30 a.m., at the Community House. Member David Reeves will present a program on "Shabby Chic" design. Also, the club's annual silent plant auction will be held. All gardening enthusiasts are invited to attend!

A RELAY FOR LIFE COKE FLOAT AND BAKE SALE will be held in the lobby of Kilgore National Bank on Friday, April 11. All proceeds go toward the cancer foundation.

MEMORIES OF YESTERYEAR, THE 13TH ANNUAL TRACTOR AND ENGINE show will be held at the Rusk Co. Youth Expo Center on Hwy 13, one mile west of Henderson on Friday April 18 from 9 a.m to 9 p.m and Saturday from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. For more information call 903-693-6315 or 903-889-2671.

THE EAST TEXAS GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY and the Tyler Family History Center will hold their 8th Annual Genealogical Seminar on Saturday, April 12, at the Family History Center, 1617 Shiloh Road in Tyler. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the first session scheduled for 9 a.m. All of the sessions are free, and pre-registration is not required. Rich Kinnunen, assistant family history director for the Carrollton Texas Family History Center, will be the keynote speaker.
