DISTRICT TRACK MEET TODAY, WEDNESDAY
Jessica Shepherd and Brandi Johnson run two legs of the girls 400 and 800 meter relays for Kilgore High School, and could do well in both this week in the District 12-4A Track & Field Championships, to be contested today and tomorrow at Hallsville High School. Kilgore normally sends a host of track athletes on to regionals, and several KHS track standouts have gone on to the state meet in recent years (Whitney Clark in the girls 110 and 300 meter hurdles in 2003 and2004, Courtney Thomas in the boys 100 meter and 200 meter dash in 2005, and current KHS athlete Tai'Shea Reese in the long jump last year).
