Gregg County Sheriff 's Office has been authorized to sell six vehicles at the county auction.

Gregg County Commissioners on Monday approved the sale of three Chevrolet Impalas, two Ford Crown Victorias and a Chevrolet box van.

Proceeds from the van are to be returned to the county's inmate welfare account. Proceeds from the other sales will be used toward the purchase of a fleet Chevrolet Tahoe.

Commissioners also approved payment of the county's annual membership fee to North & East Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association, in the amount of $125.

Commissioners accepted two more donations to the office to the district attorney, totaling $2,500. The donations are dedicated for criminal prosecution of oilfield related thefts.

The next meeting of Gregg County Commissioners' Court is 10 a.m. Monday, April 14 at Gregg County Courthouse in the third-floor Commissioners' Courtroom.
