Mt. Pleasant Christian Methodist Episcopal Church celebrates 135 years

Rev. Charles E. Faulks
Mt. Pleasant Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will be celebrating their 135th Anniversary. Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Charles Faulk, Pastor of Growing Valley Baptist Church of Longview.

Rev. Charles E. Faulks was born in Lewisville, Arkansas in 1965. He was educated in the Garland Public School System. He attended Tenn. State University in Nashville, Tenn.

Rev. Faulks has served the Lord all of his life. He has served by singing in the choir, Sunday School, and BTU.

He received his calling to the Ministry March 30, 1994. He preached his first sermon May 29, 1994 (God Chosen Man) at the Mt. Elm Baptist Church in Whitehouse.

Rev. Faulks married the love of his life "Beverly" October 17, 1987. They have a seven-year-old son, C.J. Faulks.

He is currently Pastor of Growing Valley Baptist Church, Longview for the

past 12 years. He has also

been Pastor of Mt. Zion Bethlehem Baptist Church in Troup, president of the Minister's Conference, Texas Educational Baptist Longview District Association, Instructor, National Baptist Congress of Christian Education. NBCUSA, five years, instructor at East Texas Baptist- Longview District Congress and worked with Chapel Hill School PTO.
