Other times my heart is warmed, like when Sharon Ragle told me her Brother Daryl Zevely, 71, still sends Regina Bull, his third-grade teacher, a Valentines Day card every year. Sometimes I get a good giggle out of a story, like when Diana Jones joked that she had to marry her husband. Apparently Growing up Diana B. Good had its setbacks and she grabbed the fist plain old Jones she met. Sometimes I learn thing that just plain make me scratch my head contemplatively. Knowing that Andy Elliot wears a tuxedo to have his drivers licensee made is one of those. Jan Elliot, his wife, said he does it just to amuse those who look at his license. I told Jan I am going to wear a tiara the next time I go! Debbie Phillips called the paper yesterday to make sure everyone knows that her daughter Lana Phillips will be singing 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Kilgore City Park, During East Texas Treatment Center's Party in the Patch. When she leaves the park she is headed to carthage to sing on the Country Music Hayride. +++ While you are out at the Party in the Patch make sure to swing by Kilgore Public Library for the Friends of Kilgore Public Library book sale.
