TUESDAY

THE KHS WARR YEARS REUNION GROUP will meet Tuesday, April 8, at 1 p.m. for their monthly lunch meeting at Bodacious BBQ I-20 and Hwy 42, Kilgore.

THE MONTHLY MEETING OF THE KILGORE BAND BOOSTERs will be held Tuesday, April 8 in the high school band hall at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

WEDNESDAY

THE DAUGHTERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS, John Tilley Edwards Chapter will meet Wednesday April 16, at 11 a.m. to dedicate a memorial marker for Roberta Wren at Lakeview Memorila Gardens, 500 W. Harrison Rd., Longview. Following the services, luncheon and a business meeting will be at Johnny Cace's at 12 p.m. Hwy80, East Marshall, Longview. For more informaion call 903- 236-2888.

SATURDAY

THE EAST TEXAS GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY and the Tyler Family History Center will hold their 8th Annual Genealogical Seminar on Saturday, April 12, at the Family History Center, 1617 Shiloh Road in Tyler. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the first session scheduled for 9 a.m. All of the sessions are free, and pre-registration is not required. Rich Kinnunen, assistant family history director for the Carrollton Texas Family History Center, will be the keynote speaker.

HEARING LOSS ASSOCIATION OF LONGVIEW will meet Saturday, April 5, 10:30 a.m., Wesley-McCabe Methodist Chruch, 1115 S. Mobberly. Charles Beatty of East Texas Hearing Solutions will speak on "Research--Where Are We?" Live captioning and assistive devices will be available. Refreshments will be served.

DANVILLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will be holding their annual Danville Days on April 26. Vendors are needed. Please call Barbara at 903-720- 0017 or Ellie at 903-984-0593

SUNDAY

MACEDONIA BAPTIST CHURCH will be holding a 91 church anniversary. The church is located at 850 E. Overton. 3 p.m. April 6. Guest Speaker will be Rev. Tyrone Gee, and the Zion Baptist Church, of Overton. Host pastor is Rev. Willie H. Bryant, Jr.

FYI CTK CRUSADERS TEAM MEMBERS will be selling raffle tickets for a beautiful afghan, made with 100% fisherman pure virgin wool containing natural oils. It is a beautiful neutral light beige color so it will go well in any room setting or for a male or female. It would make a very nice gift for anyone or for the person who wins it to keep for themselves.

This afghan will be raffled at Kilgore's Relay for Life Walk at the Kilgore Youth Soccer Fields on Friday, April 18, 2008. You do not have to be present to win. The raffle tickets sell for $2 each. We would appreciate your support in purchasing some of our tickets.

THE WOMEN'S AUXILIARY THEY ARE STILL OPERATING THE GIFT SHOP at Laird Memorial Hospital and are still in need of paperbacks. The auxiliary sells the books for 25 cents and transfers the money to a fund which helps buy medicine for indigent or needy patients at the hospital and scholorships for nursing students. Please take new or nicely-used paperbacks to the auxiliary desk in the lobby at the hospital.
