Come out and support MLMS tennis. +++ April 5 marks the 3rd Annual "Party in the Patch," benefiting the East Texas Treatment Center. Joe T. Parker, Kilgore mayor, presented Bobby Hale, ETTC executive director; and Merlyn Holmes, ETTC marketing director, with a proclamation yesterday, naming some of the activities planned for this worthy event, including the 4th Annual Oil Patch Bar-becue Cook-Off, Cruise Night at the Rock-N-Roll Whataburger, motorcycle show, street dance, rod run, horseshoe and 42 tournaments, live entertainment, a blood drive, arts and crafts, food ven- dors, tractor show, Sonic Kid's Korner, puppet show, raffles, and will culminate with the Saturday Night Dance "Disco Inferno" which will include a Soul Train Dance-Off and special guest appearance by the Village People of Kilgore. *** Kilgore High School baseball and softball will be in action tomorrow night at 6 p.m. The Ladybulldogs softball team will be taking on Whitehouse at Streamflo Field, varsity only and the Bulldogs baseball team will also be taking on Whitehouse at Historic Driller Park. *** The Conner Crusaders will be working at the Back Porch to raise money for the Relay For Life Cancer walk that will take place on April 18-19. All tips donated will be used for this project. The Conner family will be taking orders and serving Friday night April 4, 2008. Please come by the Back Porch and enjoy a good meal and then make a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
