MARY LUCY LEE BECK

Services for Mary Lucy Lee Beck, 85, of Kilgore, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 31, 2008, at Cross Roads Methodist Church with Revs. Ralph Rudy, Jonathan Latham and Father Michael Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Ms. Beck passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008, in Kilgore.

Ms. Beck was born in Rusk County on June 25, 1922, and was the daughter of the late W. C. and Dixie Lee. She graduated from Kilgore High School and attended Kilgore College. She married the late James Beck of Rusk County. She was a devoted wife and mother, and gave generously of her time to both family and friends. Her presence will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, David Beck of Kilgore, her daughter, Susan Beck of Kilgore; five grandchildren, Debbi Goertz, Jeff Beck, Julie Hope, Nicole Griffith, and Natasha Benchimol. Ms. Beck was also the grandmother of the late Eric Beck. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, Chris Beck, Jaela Beck, Heather and Ariel Griffith, Dillon and Jessie Hope, and Abby Goertz. She was preceded in death by her older brothers Francis Lee and James "Bussy" Lee.

The family will receive friends between 4:00 and 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Rader Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Max Beck, Don Bonds, Stanley Bonds, Woody Meyers, Ken Ragle and Jack Kennard.
