Catching up with the Coterie Club

Tina Zapata give the program on "Elizabeth Taylor- A Hollywood Life". Tina entertained the members with information and events from the life of one of America's most famous stars.
Coterie Club met on Thursday, January 24 at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Margaret Cibele. Co-hostesses were Sue Lynn Florio and Johnna Spradley

President Francye Phillips called the meeting to order. Secretary Sue Brown read the minutes of the last meeting and they were approved as read. Sue Lynn Florio gave the treasure's report.

President Phillips introduced Pam DeCeault who introduced Barbara Kiser to introduce the program. Patty Ray, an attorney with the R.L.Whitehead Jr.law firm in Longview, gave the program entitled Today's Woman Legally Speaking. The program focused on legal matters that effect women. Patti also distributed informational material, Planning for the Future and answered questions. The program was both interesting and informative.

Coterie Club met at the home of Francye Phillips. Co-hostesses were Margie Hall and India Stroope. Guests were served delicious refreshments from a table centered by a Greek bust draped in pearls and diamonds. Large gems were scattered around the table to represent the program topic, Elizabeth Taylor.

President Francye Phillips called the business meeting to order. After the business meeting was concluded, she introduced Tina Zapata to give the program of the day, "Elizabeth Taylor- A Hollywood Life". Tina entertained the members with information and events from the life of one of America's most famous stars. After the program Martha Whitehead read the collect and the meeting was adjourned.

There were 25 members in attendance for the meeting. Coterie Club met on Thursday, March 13. in the Parlor of the First Baptist Church with Wanda Bittick, hostess. Co-hostesses were Carol Walker and Jo Ann Whiteside. Order of the day was reversed and Carolyn Martin was introduced by Pam Deceault to give the program of the day entitled, "The Southern Woman - Yesterday and Today".

After the program President Francye Phillips asked Secretary Sue Brown to read the minutes of the last meeting of February 28 and they were approved as read. Sue Lynn Florio gave the treasure's report. The President called for officer reports. Brenda Maxwell introduced two new members, Joy Tate and Jan Wylie. Diane Miller distributed cards to be sent to members who were ill.

There were 29 members in attendance.
