MAYBE THE MOST undervalued job - but one that's darned important under certain circumstances - is the job of locker opener.

THAT'S the person who arrives with his bolt cutter and removes the padlock from the locker of those who lock their locker with the key inside. When you need him, you really need him.

DAFFODILS don't last very long and other communities have claimed Crape Myrtle as their official shrub/tree/flowering bush. But, are there cities out there that named the wisteria the official flowering vine? Is there anywhere a Wisteria Festival with a Miss Wisteria? If not, there should be and it should be in this part of the country.

IT seems to us that wisteria have taken over East Texas.

EARLY voting in Rusk County's runoff election is next week. The only loca-

tion for casting an early ballot is the Rusk County courthouse in Henderson.

IF YOU wait until the April 8 election, you can vote at the county substation on Peterson Road (precincts 113 and 213) or at the (for voting precincts 212 and 214) New London Community Center.

GOOD news if you have family in Oklahoma City: Nashville has replaced The City as the most tornado prone city in the country. Bad news, I suppose, if you have family in Nashville. In Texas, only Wichita Falls - where it's hard to go a month without seeing at least one funnel cloud - is in the top 10.
