Spring season continues for KSA teams
Names are spelled here in the News Herald exactly as they are printed. Reports with no first name, or incomplete names, will not be included. All reports should have complete names listed, or they won't appear in the roundup. Games are played Saturdays at the sports complex on Highway 135. This roundup will normally run on Thursdays in the News Herald sports section. Coaches reports are due by 5 p.m. on Monday. You may bring them by the office at 610 East Main Street, or fax them to (903) 984-7462. You may also e-mail them to sports@kilgorenewsherald. com. Reports will not be taken over the phone. Under-6 girls • Baby Dolls vs. Little Divas: Sarah Loomis, Ashley Hernandez and Sydney Blackmon scored for the Baby Dolls, and Mia Orange, Cerenity Exline and Shelby Henson were top defenders. The Baby Dolls are coached by Tia Orange and Criselda Perales, and sponsored by Wellborn Mechanical Services. • Chic Chicks vs. Grasshoppers: Coach Rita Whipple said both teams made several goals, and that her team had good teamwork - they'd been working on passing and their efforts showed, the coach said. Top offensive players were Madison Alford, Megan Langford, Grace Tharp and Eric Yancey. Defensive standouts were Hannah Howell, Lexy Smith, Chloe Whipple, and Madison Roach. Under-10 girls • Lady Tigers vs. Eagles: Jamie Midkiff and Taylor Black scored for the Lady Tigers. Kayley Pyle was the top defensive player, along with Samantha Gray. The Lady Tigers are coached by Brad Provance. |
