KISD election date and early voting set

With the ballot positions set, Kilgore Independent School District will hold its board of trustee election on May 10.

Revard Pfeffer, business manager for KISD and election official said under the new guidelines, the election will be held in conjunction with Kilgore's city election and balloting will be at the Kilgore Administration Building.

Karen Custer, city clerk, is also the early voting clerk for this election.

Early voting times will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 28 through May 6 at the city administration building located at 815 N. Kilgore St..

The election itself will be on May 10 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., also at the city administration building.

A meeting to canvas the election returns will be held on Tuesday, May 13.

Position 1 and Position 2 are the only positions on the ballot for this KISD election. Position 1 will have David Hedrick and Derreck Borders contesting for that position, the incumbent George Faber will not be seeking re-election. Position 2 will have Dale Henley challenging incumbent Terry George.
