KEITH RANDALL BALLEW

Keith Randall Ballew, a resident of Vancouver, Washington, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in Vancouver. He was 72 years of age.

Keith was born on September 2, 1935 in Frost, Texas and was the son of Clinton and Alma (Morgan) Ballew.

Keith enlisted in the United States Navy. He retired in 1974 at the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Following retirement, he worked as a college professor for Kilgore College. Keith married Marie Nielson.

Keith is survived by his wife, Marie of Vancouver; children, Kris R. Ballew of Texas, Rebecca N. Ballew of Oklahoma, Randall G. Pierce of Texas, Frederick R. Pierce of Vancouver, WA and Richard J. Pierce of Amboy, WA ; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

His son, Alvin Pierce, daughter, Sandra Korhonen, brother, James Ballew and sister, Joy Ballew, precedes Keith in death.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, Oregon.
