The arrival of March found Rusk County 4-H'ers busy workingwith the 4-H Clothing and Textile Project and preparing for the county and district 4-H fashion shows. The Rusk County 4-H Fashion Show was held Thursday, March 13th, at the Rusk County Extension Office.

The following participants in the show will advance to the District V 4-H Fashion Show on Saturday, April 12th, at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches: Crystal Lane - Senior Apparel Design Competition, Suzanna Houston - Intermediate Division/Construction - Casual, Claire Shepherd - Intermediate Division/Construction - Dressy, Tiffani Moore - Intermediate Division/Buying - Dressy, Katelyn Gensley - Junior Division/Buying - Speciality, Jackie Kendall - Junior Division/ Buying - Dressy.

During the Clothing and Textile Project, the Rusk County 4-H'ers participated in various workshops and community service projects related to clothing, and as with all 4-H projects, parents, leaders, and volunteers played a huge role in making the clothing and textile project a success. Special thanks to Frances Jones, Patti Williams, and Lauren Jones for serving as workshop presenters, and special thanks to leaders Kathy Shepherd, Shelia Moore, Denise Gensley, and Ginger Shorter. Also, special thanks to Barbara Vinson and Martha Bundrick for serving as judges for the county show.
