June wedding for Ewing and Mathews

Kristen Ewing and Corey Mathews

Danny and Lynn Whitten of Kigore are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Leigh Ewing of Kilgore to Corey Mathews of Kilgore. Corey is the son of Tom and Collen Mathews of Laneville and Rodney and Juanita Messick of Longview.

Kristen is a 2004 graduate of Sabine High School. She attended Kilgore College and Steven F. Austin. She will be attending UT of Tyler in the fall to finish her nursing degree. Kristen is currently employed by Four Season Cleaners of Kilgore. She is the granddaughter of Bill Elias of Longview, Jerri Elias of Longview, Ellen Whitten and the late Dan Whitten of Kilgore.

Corey is a 2002 graduate of Pine Tree High School and attended Kilgore College. He is currently employed by Flint Energy of Kilgore. He is the grandson of Alene Mathews and the late Jim Mathews of Idabel OK., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Zed Zay Smith Jr. formerly of White Oak.

Kristen and Corey plan to wed June 7, 2008 at cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jefferson, Texas.
