LUDIE ALBERTA CAMPBELL

Funeral services for Ludie Alberta Campbell, 95, of Kilgore will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 at New Hope Church of Christ with Brother Martin King officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.

Ludie Alberta Daniels was born on September 22, 1912 to the parentage of Aaron and Obelia Bryant Daniels in the New Hope Community in Kilgore, Texas. She passed away March 18, 2008.

She was raised by their paternal grandmother, Amellia Daniels and attended New Hope Public Schools.

Ludie married George Rossum in 1930, they had six children. He died in 1948. She was later married to William Campbell.

Her parents, both husbands, one son, and her siblings, Elmira, Joycie, Daisy, Maude, and Bud preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George and Barbara Rossum of Council Bluff, IA.; five daughters and sons-in-law, Verdean and Raymond Lee and Maybelline and Raymond Griffin all of Los Angeles, CA.; Obelia and Hosea Hutchins of Longview; Lorene and Charles Wynn of San Diego, CA.; and Vernell Robinson of Carson, California; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relative and friends.

Public viewing will be Sunday, March 23, 2008 starting at noon with the family receiving visitors from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Victory Funeral Services. Final viewing will be at the church from noon until 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
