IDA LORENE GOODE

Funeral services for Ida Lorene Goode, 86, of Kilgore, will be 10 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2008, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Kilgore City Cemetery. Mrs. Goode died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in Longview.

Ida Lorene Goode was born on September 9, 1921 in Non, Oklahoma, to the late Jesse Howell and Forrest Howell Greer. She was a homemaker and member of the Kilgore Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Edwin Alfard Goode and two sons, Jerry Edwin Goode and wife Jackie of Kilgore, and Danny Goode of Kilgore. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Other survivors include four sisters, Ora Lee and husband Frank Dunaway of Kilgore; Ruby and husband Marion Harris of Shreveport, La.; Truby Forshee of Shreveport, La.; and Linda and husband Caleb Pirtle of Ennis; three sisters-in-law, Gladys Kivell of Houston, Maggie Howell of Kilgore, and Jewell Howell of Kilgore; two step sisters, Joy and husband Pat Patterson of Greenville, and Gloria Fay Oswalt of Tyler; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Goode was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Dean Goode II; her stepfather, Jesse Greer; one sister, Lonedia Goode; and three brothers, Harlan, Clint, and Dale Howell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2008 at the funeral home.
