ERNEST "PEANUT" THOMPSON, JR.

Services for Ernest "Peanut" Thompson, Jr. 52, of Kilgore were, March 19, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Shane Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Danville Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 8, 1955 in Beaumont, but lived most his life in and around Kilgore. Peanut served in the United States Navy worked as a Welder.

He is survived by his wife, Jana Thompson of Kilgore; father and step-mother, Ernest and Bobbie Thompson of Buna; mother and step-father, Betty and Harold Carter of Houston; children, April Thompson of Smackover, Arkansas, Chris Thompson of Beaumont, Texas, Justin Thompson of Kilgore, Shane Lower of Rowlett, Kelley Ryan Thompson of California and Ken Thompson; brothers and sister, Tommy W. Thompson of Mobile, AL, Douglas Thompson of MS and Gayle Lynn Thompson of Houston; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his brother Curtis Thompson.
