ERNEST "PEANUT" THOMPSON, JR.

Services for Ernest "Peanut" Thompson, Jr. 52, of Kilgore will be Two O'clock in the Afternoon, March 19, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Shane Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Peanut left this world Saturday, March 15, 2008 surrounded by his loving family and friends, following a brave battle with cancer. He was born November 8, 1955 in Beaumont, Texas but lived most his life in and around Kilgore. Peanut served in the United States Navy worked as a Welder. He loved his time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren and enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and playing pool.

He is survived by his wife, Jana Thompson of Kilgore; father and step-mother, Ernest and Bobbie Thompson of Buna; mother and step-father, Betty and Harold Carter of Houston; children, April Thompson of Smackover, Arkansas, Chris Thompson of Beaumont, Texas, Justin Thompson of Kilgore, Shane Lower of Rowlett, Texas, Kelley Ryan Thompson of California and Ken Thompson; brothers and sister, Tommy W. Thompson of Mobile, Alabama, Douglas Thompson of Mississippi and Gayle Lynn Thompson of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his brother Curtis Thompson.
