Commissioners talk trucks on Monday

Gregg County may have three new dump trucks in its fleet after commissioners meet Monday.

Commissioners are scheduled to meet and discuss a short agenda which includes a request from Bob Barbee, Pct. 3 commissioner, to lease three dump trucks, with an option to buy them through the state's Buy Board.

County auditor is slated for discussion and approval of a request from City of Longview for assistance by reimbursement for the 2008 pavement management program, in an amount not to exceed $300,000.

County clerk is expected to request approval of the release of pledged securities, in the amount of $2 million, held at Texas Bank and Trust.

District attorney will request acceptance of another monetary donation in the amount of $5,000, to be used in the criminal prosecution of oilfield related thefts.

Gregg County Commissioners meet 9 a.m. Monday, March 17 at Gregg County Courthouse in the third-floor Commissioners' Courtroom.
