KILGORE COLLEGE WIND SYMPHONY
Wayne Smith, director of bands at Kilgore College conducted the Kilgore College Wind Symphony last night in Dodson Auditorium. The 40 member symphony played Prelude to Revelry, Gum-Suckers March, Trauersinfonie, in memory of Mike Miller and Americans We March by Henry Filmore. Kevin Ogilvie, percussion instructor at KC performed Concertino for Marimba. (photos) Natasha Cline from Kilgore and Joe Hewitt from White Oak played French Horns, Jerica Yarbrough from Hallsville played clarinet and Lauren Baker from Hallsville played flute. The Wind Symphony will perform again on April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Dodson and the Jazz Ensemble will perform April 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Devall Student Center Ballroom. Both concerts are free and open to the public.
