Blind date leads to 60 years of marriage

Bob and Rosalie Abraham
Bob and Rosalie Abraham were married on February 7, 1948 at the home of Bob's parents, Russell and Ruthie Abraham by their family minister.

They met on a blind date and it was love at first sight! Bob soon popped the question and they were married and honeymooned in Galveston. They lived in Houston where Bob pursued a career in the automotive and oil industry. They were blessed with three children, Bob, Pam and Jim, who are live from Houston to Austin.

Bob and Rosalie lived in Houston until 1970 when Bob joined the Johnston-Lawrence Company and moved to Kilgore. After Bob retired he and Rosalie lovingly supported and volunteered at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Kilgore. Until its recent closure, Bob served for years as the Commander of the Kilgore Chapter of the VFW, where he and the Kilgore veterans regularly contributed to the Helping Hand Charity and Battered Women's Shelter through their fund raisers, Bob and Rosalie continue their retirement in Kilgore enjoying their blessings, many years together and the community that they live in.

Congratulations on your 60 anniversary, sixty loving and happy years of marriage! Love Bob, Pam and Jim.
