Blackstone talks baseball to Lions

      With spring in the air, it's time to turn our attention to the fair-haired boys with bats in hand, headed out to their field of dreams. Baseball season is well underway. Jeff Blackstone, head baseball coach at Kilgore High School was at the Lions Club Thursday to talk about KHS baseball.

KILGORE COLLEGE WIND SYMPHONY
      Wayne Smith, director of bands at Kilgore College conducted the Kilgore College Wind Symphony last night in Dodson Auditorium. The 40 member symphony played Prelude to Revelry, Gum-Suckers March, Trauersinfonie, in memory of Mike Miller and Americans We March by Henry Filmore.

      The TRIO Upward Bound Program at Kilgore College will host its New Student/Parent Orientation March 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. March 29 for parents and students who have been selected for participation in the program. The orientation will be held in the Devall Ballroom on the Kilgore campus.
