GLENN Elliot, retired Texas ranger, gave 67 hours of recorded interviews to Rob Nieman, historian, who sought history concerning former rangers Bob Goss and Lone Wolf Gonzaullas who both had a rich history with Kilgore. "I asked Rob if we couldn't get what he copied down saved so my grandchildren would have something to read about me," Elliot said. "He said 'I've got one better than that. Why don't we write a book?'" Elliot's first book Glenn Elliot: A Ranger's Ranger was a success. His second book Glenn Elliot: Still a Ranger's Ranger was, too. The two books have sold more than 30,000 copies from one book store and private signing gigs, like the one scheduled in conjunction with East Texas Treatment Center's Party in the Patch. "I can't wait to come over to Kilgore to swap stories," elliot said. Look for Elliot's table Sat.
