Orgill open house Saturday
By KATHRYN MARTINEZ news1@kilgorenewsherald.com

To celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting for Orgill, Inc., company executives extend an invitation to the public to attend and take a tour of the 590,000-square-foot distribution center.

Speakers at this event will include Bill Adamson, president Kilgore Economic Development Corporation board of directors; Mike Coston, president Kilgore Chamber of Commerce; and Ron Beal, Orgill, Inc. president and CEO.

"We have been operational for three weeks now," Vic Price, vice president of distribution, said. "We want to invite our employees, their families, and members of this community to our grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony in an effort to thank all who have welcomed us and helped us along the way."

Among things to see in the distribution facility is Orgill's state-of -theart conveyor system. Items shuttle along at 300 feet per minute on more than 3,000 feet of belts and are sorted by bar code and sent to one of 65 loading dock doors.

Open house is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Orgill, Inc. in Synergy Park. The ribbon cutting ceremony is 11 a.m.
