Paris men, TVCC win RXIV titles The Kilgore College basketball programs might not have been a part of this year's Region XIV Conference tournaments, but they were excellent hosts, by all accounts. The tournaments, which rotate to the different campuses of the conference schools each year, were played at Masters Gym at KC this weekend. And even though they were without the Runnin' Rangers and Lady Rangers, there was a good crowd each session for some exciting JUCO basketball. Paris Junior College claimed the men's tournament championship, beating Navarro, 50-49, and Trinity Valley won the women's title, beating Blinn, 83-81. Both teams are off to the national tournaments in Hutchinson, Kan., next week. |
