(photo left to right) Girl Scouts Katelyn Webb, 8, a junior Girl Scout, Ashley Robbins, 13, cadet Girl Scout and Amanda Robbins, 15, senior Girl Scout with Troop 1398 sell cookies at Boomtown Video.
The Girl Scouts of America held one of its annual cookie sales at Boomtown Video on Saturday.

Owners of Boomtown Video sweetened the deal by throwing in a free movie rental to those who bought at least three boxes of cookies.

The Girl Scouts are adding something new this year: You can purchase cookies which will then be sent to Iraq and distributed to the troops at the end of March.

Dawn Maldonado, Troop 1398 leader, said there will be three more locations for sales: on March 15 at Blake Furniture from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; on March 21 at 4 Star Cinema from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on March 22 at Atwoods from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You can buy cookies for yourself or for the troops at any of these sales, said Maldonado.

The Kilgore Girl Scout Troop has 30 members and is in its seventh year according.

This year troop 1398 will sell 300 cases - 3600 individual boxes - of cookies in addition to the cookies going to Iraq.
