Girl Scouts sending cookies to Iraq
      The Girl Scouts of America held one of its annual cookie sales at Boomtown Video on Saturday. Owners of Boomtown Video sweetened the deal by throwing in a free movie rental to those who bought at least three boxes of cookies.

      The U.S. Army Recruiters of Kilgore invite the public to come see the Army's AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter Saturday in the Kilgore Wal-Mart parking lot. Besides the helicopter, the World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes will be performing.

KC Wind Symphony performs Thursday
      The Kilgore College Wind Symphony will be in concert Thursday night in Dodson Auditorium. Wayne Smith, director of bands and the conductor of the Wind Symphony, said the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is one of two concerts performed by the group during the semester.
