DAILY DIGEST MONDAY THE MONTHLY MEETING OF THE KILGORE BAND BOOSTERS will be held Monday, March 10 instead of the regular second Tuesday in the high school band hall at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend. TUESDAY THE KHS WAR YEARS REUION GROUP will meet Tuesday, March 11 at 1 p.m. for their monthly lunch meeting at the Cotton Patch, 1228 McCann Rd., Longview. WEDNESDAY CIVIC GARDEN CLUB will take a pilgrimage to Blue Moon Gardens, Chandler, March 12, 2007. Members will meet at First Baptist parking lot at 8:45 a.m. to carpool. Lunch and shopping will follow the program at the gardens. DAUGHTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS, JOHN TILLEY EDWARDS CAPTER will meet March 19, at 11 a.m. for the dedication service for Mrs. Clyde Shepherd at Minosa Hall-Webester Cemetery, Leigh. SATURDAY THE EAST TEXAS GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY will hold its regular monthly meeting on Saturday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at the Tyler Public Library in the Taylor Auditorium. The featured speaker will be Debbie Parker Wayne. Wayne, a professional genealogist, will present a program titled "Using the U.S. BLM-GLO Web Site to Find Land Records." THE KILGORE HIGH SCHOOL HI-STEPPER DANCE CAMP will be held on Saturday, March 8 from 9 a.m. to noon in Kilgore High School Gym. Anyone, kindergarten through 8th grade can sign up at a cost of $20 per person. A camp T-shirt and snack are included in the price. SUNDAY THE ALLEN FAMILY will be at Victory Road Baptist Church, March 9 at the 11 a.m. service. This will be their third year at Victory Road doing the morning service. The public is invited, a love offering will be taken. The church is located on the corner of Hwy 135 and Goforth. For more information call 903-984-7509. The training will include a review of dementia and the latest about the "Best Friends Approach". The training will be presented by Jamie Huff with the Alzheimer's Alliance of Northeast Texas who has had the opportunity to work with those who developed this approach. This is a fund raiser for Relay for Life. There will be activities and demonstrations by the fire and police departments from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food will also be available. Buy tickets at the park. |
