KHS GIRLS SHUT OUT BY PT; PLAY AGAIN AT HOME TONIGHT

Kilgore High School's Carmen Rios (2) battles a Pine Tree player for possession of the ball during a game at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium on Thursday. Pine Tree went on to win the District 17-4A game, 5-0. In spite of the inclement, snowy weather, at press time both Kilgore soccer teams were still scheduled to host Eustace tonight - varsity girls at 5 p.m., varsity boys to follow. The boys lost in overtime to Pine Tree on Monday night, and a loss to Eustace tonight could jeopardize their playoff hopes. Tonight is also Kilgore Soccer Association night at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium. KSA players who come in uniform to the KHS games will be admitted free. The halftime periods of both games will feature KSA mini-games.
