Talent from East Texas and beyond

On Saturday night, the Kilgore College Piano Ensemble presented a concert featuring guest conductor, Dennis Mauricio.

The concert featured pieces by Mauricio as well as pieces written by members of the ensemble.

Sandy Siler, director of the ensemble, introduced Mauricio, conducted pieces of music and also performed with the ensemble.

Members of the ensemble included, Jean Ive Amou'ou from Cameron, Africa, Micah Behr from Big Sandy, Joanna Burroughs from Tatum, Kayla Kinkaid from Paris, Heather Newman from Mount Pleasant, Luis D. Perez-Villanueva from Kilgore, Katie Roll from Longview and James Williams from Marshall. Jessica Morris from Dallas, a graduate from KC and former piano student sat in with the ensemble.

Villanueva and Roll performed a piece they had written and Behr conducted the piece he had written.
