Hobbs receives Employee of Quarter
Hobbs has been at Citizens Bank for almost two years. This is her first banking job after 26 years in the medical field. She is not only the switchboard operator but also assists the Bookkeeping Department with some duties as well as the Trust Department. She also assists all bank employees with lamination projects. Besides her work duties, Hobbs was one of the leaders in constructing the Christmas Parade float this past year that won a host of awards. She also volunteers for Relay For Life activities at Citizens Bank. When she is not working, she enjoys collecting dolphins. She is also an avid NASCAR fan, particularly the No. 20 car driven by Tony Stewart. She was born in Dallas but moved to White Oak in 1969 and has been there ever since. She is active in Clarksville City Baptist Church where she teaches Cubbies in Awana. She is also part of the Puppet Ministry at the church as well as being involved in other activities. She has been married to Dan Hobbs for six years. She has two daughters, Hayley Roberson of White Oak, and Melissa Ritter of Ore City. Melissa is married to Cory and they have three children, James Blalock, 7, Richard Lee Alford IV, 2, and Brianna Marie Ritter, 1. "I was very surprised to hear my name called, and it is a great honor to be selected Employee of the Quarter," she said. "I really enjoy my job, and I like coming to work every day because of the special people I get to work with." Sammy D. York, president of Citizens Bank, congratulated Hobbs on her honor and presented her with a plaque after making the announcement. "We appreciate Beckey and the job that she does each and every day for Citizens Bank," he said. |
