KHS Ag. Farm gets donation
LIVESTOCK WASH GOING UP

The Kilgore High School FFA gets a news livestock wash courtesy of Hendricks and Arp Contractors. The facility will be ready for the April show.
Kilgore High School FFA Agriculture Farm received an update last Friday thanks to the generosity of one Kilgore Company.

Hendricks and Arp Contractors, owned by Randy and Linda Broussard, put up a livestock wash adjacent to the main building at the Ag. Farm.

Linda Broussard said the school district put down the concrete pad and the facility was then erected by Hendricks and Arp.

"I talked with Jerry Roberts who said the school district would take care of providing plumbing and electric to the facility," said Linda.

Kilgore FFA holds a livestock show every year at this facility and recently started holding a chili cook-off at the Ag. Farm for FFA members, KHS students and family.

The Kilgore Livestock Show will be held April 26 and the judging will start at 8:30 a.m. A barbecue at 5 p.m. will be followed by the sale.

Charles Taylor is the head of the KHS Ag. Program and organizes the show, monitors the students projects, both animals and ag mechanics and of course is a teacher at KHS.

Linda Broussard, who is a member of the FFA Booster Club, headed up the committee which organized the livestock wash.
