IN PARMA, Ohio, a kindergarten student with a freshly spiked Mohawk was suspended from school. Michelle Barile, the mother of 6-year-old Bryan Ruda, said nothing in the Parma Community School handbook prohibits the haircut, characterized by closely shaved sides with a strip of prominent hair on top. The school said the hair was a distraction for other students.

WHEN THE Main Street Advisory Board meets Monday night they'll be considering a grant application from Harry Crouse, the owner of the old Longhorn Drug building on Kilgore Street.

HARRY, who did a swell job dressing up his building at 205 Kilgore Street, wants to create apartments on the second floor of the Longhorn building and include streetfront balconies which will extend over the sidewalk, a-la New Orleans.
