LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Editor,
It is a sad day in Kilgore, knowing a dream has ended. Mr. Roy (Laird) envisioned a place where people of Kilgore could go to receive good medical help, staffed by good people.

It is also sad that all the people involved in raising money each year for the hospital see their efforts come to an abrupt end.

A name on a building doesn’t count for much; having people know the name of one of the major people involved in doing a service for the good of a community does mean a lot.

I hope this is never forgotten and that Mr. Laird’s efforts are remembered.
