OIL BELT CLASSIC TOURNAMENT STARTS TODAY

The annual Oil Belt Classic high school baseball tournament, with every game this year to be played here at Driller Park, began this morning and will wind up Saturday afternoon with the championship game. Steven McBryde (left) and the Kilgore High School Bulldogs were to begin the tournament tonight at 7 p.m. against Lindale. If Kilgore wins that game, the Diamond 'Dogs will play at 1 p.m. tomorrow. A loss to Lindale means Kilgore will play at 11 tomorrow. See KHS-Lindale coverage in Friday's News Herald sports section.
