KC hosts piano master class

LUIS SANCHEZ

Luis Sanchez will be conducting a piano master class with the Kilgore College piano students March 7, in the Anne Dean turk Fine Arts Center, room 103 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

One high school student will be selected to perform a J.S. Bach selection for Sanchez in the class.

The high school student that was chosen for this performance will receive a partial piano scholarship to KC.

Sanchez was born in Argentina and is currently a faculty member at Texas A&M- Commerce as assistant professor of piano.

Sanchez was the recipient of the 2005 Pinellas County Arts Council Artist Resource Fund and has recorded a solo works with music from Mozart, Ginastera, Chopin, Taranto Jr. and Schumann.

The performance is free and open to the public.
