EDWIN NEAL ROBERSON, SR.

Graveside services for Mr. Edwin Neal Roberson, Sr., 87, of Kilgore were Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 at Danville Cemetery with the Rev. G. A. Stanfield officiating. Mr. Roberson passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 24, 2008.

Mr. Roberson was born on July 31, 1920 to Arthur and Annie Belle Roberson. Eddie attended Longview Schools. He met and married Oma Lovette in 1942. Mr. Roberson served with the 44th Infantry Division fighting in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II.

In 1950, the family moved to the Kilgore area and he continued his carpentry business.

His daughter and son-inlaw, Gayle and Ronny Still of Longview; a son, Eddie Roberson, Jr. of Kilgore; daughter-in-law, Joan Fuller of Tyler; seven grandchildren; fourteen great children; a sister, Frankie Mathews of Longview survive him.

His parents, his wife, a son, William Boyd Roberson, a grandson, Ryan Roberson, and four sisters, preceded Mr. Roberson in death.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps, Dept 886, PO Box 13707, Houston, Texas 77219 or the National Rifle Association.
