Sabine players, Bell honored in 15-3A

Sabine High School head girls basketball coach Paul Bell was named the District 15-3A coach of the year, along with Spring Hill's David Duncan, and Sabine senior Samantha Jackson was tabbed the district's defensive player of the year, all by district coaches as a part of the All-District Team.
In addition to the honors won by Bell and Jackson, Sabine's Katy Strange and Cortnee Ryan, both juniors, were named 15-3A first-team All- District, and junior Alex Easley and sophomore Cassie Headley were named second-team All- District. Senior Katie Walker and junior Shayla Gossett were named honorable mention.
Making Academic All-District for Sabine were Jackson, Headley, Easley, Lindsey Bryce, Ryan, Walker, Strange, Gabrielle Samples, Jamaie Simmons, Gossett, and Lindsay McClain.
Sabine went 9-1 in district play, shared the district championship with Spring Hill, and lost to Pittsburg in the bi-district round of the playoffs.
