THELMA D. SETTLE

Funeral services for Thelma Dorothy Settle, 84 of Kilgore will be noon, Thursday, February 21, 2008 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. K. B. Henry officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Home.

Thelma was born on January 13, 1924 to the parentage of Jackson and Charlotte Williams. She passed away on February 15, 2008. Thelma taught school in Kilgore and Longview. Her parents, siblings, husband John T. Settle, Jr. and daughter Sarah Helen all preceded her in death.

She is survived by four daughters and a son-in-law: Vivian Smith of Fort Worth, , Alana Pitts, Carlita and Ronald Burkes of DeSoto, and Charlotte Settle of Arlington; sons, John T. Settle III of DaSots, George Settle of Arlingron; guardian son; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Victory Funeral Services with final viewing on Thursday February 21, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until noon at New Hope Baptist Church.
