Julie Webb, Brownie Leader, said starting on Feb. 29 at Kilgore's Blockbuster Video store, Girl Scouts will be selling cookies from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. In other events already scheduled, on Sat. March 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Girl Scouts will be at Brookshire's and on March 8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the Girl Scouts will be at Boomtown Video. According to Webb the cookies are $3.50 per box and the cookies will be available at these locations. "This is our main funding which pays for activities, badges, patches, etc.," said Webb. "We have 21 girls registered in the troop." Webb said there will be three other sales, but those dates have not yet been set. *** In KISD sports, Maude Laird Middle School track will get underway on Monday starting at 3:30 p.m. at Sabine. * * * The Kilgore LadyBulldog soccer team is in action Friday night against Lindale at R.E. St. John Stadium. The JV start at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow at 7 p.m. The boys are on the road to Lindale. *** The Kilgore College basketball teams will be home on Saturday with the Lady Rangers starting at 2 p.m. and the KC Rangers starting at 4 p.m. *** Celebrating a birthday today are Corey Rider, Barbara Singletary, Joe Pritchard, Robin Burton, Max Stone, Paul Autrey, Vicki Jean Polk, E.E.
