TOM S. BLACKSTONE

Tom S. Blackstone, age 63, of Plano, Texas passed away February 15, 2008 after a year long battle with prostate cancer. He was born September 8, 1944 in Palestine, Texas to Tom H. and Christine (Lively) Blackstone. On December 27, 1981 he married Deborah Katherine Maslyn in Scottsville, New York. Tom was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas.

Tom worked for Dialysis & Transplantation as an associate publisher and director of marketing where he retired in 2007 after 30 years of service. He was known as "Mr. D&T" at the trade shows, and was a well-known face in the industry.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Blackstone of Plano, Texas; daughters, Denise Blackstone of Plano, Texas and Kristene Blackstone of Austin, Texas; brother, Ed Blackstone of Gladewater, Texas and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A service of celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2008 at First United Methodist Church, Plano, Texas with Rev. Alice Coder officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, First United Methodist Church of Plano or to the church of your choice.
