Commissioners meet Monday Gregg County Commissioners meet Monday to discuss and decide on a routine agenda, which includes such items as approval of bill payments and health plan claims as well as issues requiring more deliberation. Commissioners are slated to respond to a request from Community Healthcore (formerly Sabine Valley Center) for $25,000 in additional funding for transportation services for individuals admitted to psychiatric care. The funds would supplement transportation services provided by Gregg County Sheriff 's Department. Commissioners will also decide on additional funding for Community Healthcore in the amount of $25,000 for daily charges in community psychiatric hospitals for residents of Gregg County. In other business, commissioners have been asked to approve a contract with Hubbard Communications, for a telecommunications audit at a cost of $17,182. Jerry Hubbard, owner, will present commissioners with a status report of the county's existing telecommunications and future needs. Commissioners' business consists of a request from Bob Barbee, Pct. 3 commissioner, to be appointed to represent Gregg County, with the proxy and ballot form, on the Liberty City Water Supply Corporation. East Texas Regional Airport is on the agenda to request approval of a resolution in support of application submission to the Foreign-Trade Zones board for authority to establish, operate and maintain a general-purpose foreign-trade zone expansion site at Synergy Park. Purchasing department asks that commissioners approve Dell Asset Recovery Services to process old computer equipment; discuss items to be sold through AuctioneerExpress; approval to send surplus items to Technology Recycling; and removal of discarded surplus from county inventory.
