Harris and Dame exchange vows

Mrs. Jason Dame nee Llaura Lea Harris)
Llaura Lea Harris and Jason Wayne Dame were united in marriage on January 26, 2008 at Fellowship Baptist Church in a 2 p.m. private family ceremony officiated by Dr. Ronnie Hood.

The bride was given in marriage to Jason by her family and escorted by her father.

Llaura is the daughter of Dennis and Patti Harris, Jr. of Longview and the granddaughter of the late Sidney and Lena Tompkins of Tyler, Texas and D.R. Harris and Marilyn Harris of Kilgore, Texas.

Jason is the son of Loyce Dame of Henderson, Texas. He is the grandson of Sue Gammons of Overton, Texas

Jason has one daughter Paige Dame of Liberty City, Texas.

The bride's matron of honor was Kimberly Ann Kingston, sister of the bride.

Paige Dame daughter of the groom served as the junior brides maid.

Courtney Harris, niece of the bride was flower girl.

The groom's best man was Christopher Ward, cousin of the groom.

Serving, as ushers were Dennison Harris, brother of the bride and Joshua Robinson, special friend of the bride¿s family.

Ring bearer was Christian Cole Kingston, nephew of the bride.

Music was provided by Jason Kingston of Kilgore, brother in law of the bride who sang and played with acoustic guitar. Rice bag carriers were Kinsley Adkinson and Caedmon Kingston and Photography by Starlit Adkinson. A Special Thanks to Linda Tomlinson, aunt of the bride, for directing, coordinating, and decorating for the wedding and her assistant Lynette Florence both of Kilgore, Texas

Dennis and Patti Harris hosted a Family and Friends Dinner reception on the following weekend on February 2, 2008 at Fellowship Baptist Church Life Center. One Hundred and twelve dinner guest arrived to join the celebration honoring the new Mr. and Mrs. Jason Wayne Dame. The reception was decorated in an Italian theme. The round dinner tables were adorned with cream-colored tablecloths with iridescent moss and burgundy table toppers. Each table had its own three-tier wedding cake on crystal stands with silk butter créme icing and embellished with fresh flowers and greenery. All fourteen cakes were homemade and decorated by Kimberly Kingston, sister of the bride and assisting her in the icing of the cakes were Charlesa and Katherine Karaki of Gladewater, Texas. Each cake stand was placed in the center of the tables on glass mirrors surrounded by tea light candles and heart shape crystals. Napkin rings were handmade with moss colored ribbon and wedding charms that served as the guest-wedding keepsake. The buffet tables were decorated with lighted grapes that entwined down an Italian 3 foot sconce. At the foot of the sconce were decorative bottles of olives and peppers. The menu for the evening was home made Chicken Fettuccini, lasagna, green beans, tossed Italian salad and garlic and butter bread sticks.

Jerry and Sandy Randolph owners of Granny¿s Restaurant of Overton, Texas and Aunt and Uncle of the bride, catered the Main dish, lasagna. The Chicken Fettuccini was hand made by Linda Tomlinson, Aunt of the bride. Assisting in the preparation of the food was Lynette Florence, family friend and Jennifer Lackey, cousin of the bride.

Benaiah Henry served as waiter and Laura Francis served as waitress, both are students at Letourneau University.

The reception began with the introductory of the bride and groom by the bride¿s parents. Tommy Williams a member of Fellowship Baptist Church ask a Blessing of Best Wishes for the couple and then ask blessing over the food.

Carrie Baird, cousin of the bride offered some words of wisdom for the bride and groom then coordinated a wedding game and announced the bouquet and garter toss. Catching the bouquet was Lynette Florence, and Dennison Harris caught the garter.

The couple closed the reception with the opening of the wedding gifts. The Harris Family would like to offer their love and appreciation for everyone who attended the reception and those involved in the wedding planning and preparation. Mr. and Mrs. Dame will reside in Overton, Texas.
