Synergy Park items on KEDC agenda

Staff reports, discussion and action on corporation business are on the agenda for the next meeting of Kilgore Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.

Amanda Nobles, KEDC executive director, will report on Texpool monthly rate history 2008 and sales tax revenue comparison.

The board will consider discussion and take possible action on items associated with the development of Synergy Park, including reports on status of park projects, a request received from adjacent landowner, the future detention pond project, tank relocation and FM 349 construction projects.

The board will also consider discussion and possible action on items associated with the development of North Kilgore Industrial Park, such as receive direction on maintenance options for Lot 1 timber tract, a street light estimate from AEP in the amount of $4,382.97, rescind prior action approving conveyance of lot 3 A-1 to Jared Duncan and approve conveyance and contract under new name of ELKANAH Properties, Inc.

The board is also slated to consider discussion and possible approval of the following reports as presented by Lynda Newsome of Brown, Bronstad, Habenicht & Rosson, P.C.: Audit Report fiscal year ending 2007; Quarterly financial statement for quarter end Dec. 31, 2007; Restricting funds for building repairs in the amount of $50,000 for year 2007, and $50,000 for year 2008.

In other business the board is expected to review annual compliance report for an economic development agreement with Nardis, Inc.; consider amendment to lease purchase agreement by and between Kennedy Gourmet, Inc. and KEDC; consider discussion and possible action to terminate 5-year Economic Development Agreement between KEDC and Hanover Compression Limited Partnership.

Kilgore Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors meets 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Kilgore City Hall in Council Chambers.
